After a series of inexplicable disturbances and the random disappearance of documents and small items, psychic investigators were invited to focus on Harmsworth House - the offices of the West Briton/Cornish Guardian Group - the building is now no longer occupied by newspaper workers. Indications of paranormal activity were recorded; contact with several Earth-bound spirits was also claimed - though some of the descriptions of the resident spooks do not strike us as very convincing.

Strange and uncanny events have since occurred in the row of new shops next to the former West Briton/Cornish Guardian building. As you'll see in our latest pictures, the premises are currently being radically altered. The building has been neatly sliced in half - leaving just the facade and the first row of rooms past the main street entrance. The developers intend to add a modern 'rear half'. 

Whilst we suspect that the ghost hunters' assertions (as reported in the group's newspapers) ought to be treated with suspicion in terms of their alleged details, it is interesting to note that cases in which spirits have apparently moved to nearby buildings after investigations or the upheaval of structural alterations are far from uncommon.
